Child Abuse Billboard Contains ‘Secret Message’ Not Visible to Adults
To try and do more than simply raise awareness of child abuse, the international nonprofit Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk (ANAR) recently joined forces with the ad agency Grey Group Spain to create a public service announcement that both draws attention to the problem, and may actually make a difference.
“Eye, Robot” focuses on the intersection of computation, robotic fabrication, and cinematography. The course explores robotic motion control as a creative medium for designers, mainly through the use of the custom robotic animation software platform, designed specifically for the SCI-Arc Robot House.

A sort of dreamscape unto itself, this film charts the creation of several of acclaimed artist Aaron Koblin’s most imaginative and game-changing projects, including the crowd-sourced music video for Johnny Cash’s song “Ain’t No Grave” and the user-customized short film “The Wilderness Downtown,” which is set to Arcade Fire’s “We Used to Wait” and was created entirely in HTML5.

My Block NYC: Mapping The City With Users’ Videos
A new video platform, My Block NYC, has one simple and amazing goal — to create a collective map of New York City using people’s videos.
Launched on Tuesday, My Block NYC allows users to upload videos to a certain street. Users of the site can then filter videos not just geographically but by age, time of day and topic.
