Processing Paris – Workshops with Andreas Gysin, v3ga and Marius Watz

Processing Paris is a series of workshops for artists and designers who wish to learn, develop and share their creative coding skills. Each year the team invites best professionals and teachers in the field to lead their workshops, catering for beginners to the most experienced.

Amazon recommendation network

Whenever you look at an item on Amazon, the site recommends related items that you might be interested in. So in a way, these items are connected by how people buy. Artist and designer Christopher Warnow uses the metaphor to create a network of Amazon products, where each node represents an item, and connections, or edges, represent common bonds of recommendations. Simply enter an Amazon link, and Warnow’s software generates a network.

Connexions

Connexions is a real time animation by Alexandre Le Guillou created using Processing. The application toys with the idea of connection / network, linking different points along a sphere, creating shapes, colours, etc.

TileMill for Processing

This tutorial describes how to create beautiful custom maps, and use them in a Processing sketch. We are going to use TileMill to style our maps, export it, and load the rendered map tiles into PImages. There are two ways of doing that.

Project Cascade
